Creative Writing Camp (Grades 6-8)
Description
Unleash your imagination and find your voice at Creative Writing Camp! Designed for middle school students in grades 6–8, this camp invites young writers to explore storytelling, poetry, and personal expression in a supportive and inspiring environment. Campers will experiment with a variety of writing styles, including short stories, poetry, fantasy, realistic fiction, and journaling. Through fun prompts, guided lessons students will learn how to develop characters, build engaging plots, and create vivid settings. They’ll also practice editing and revising their work to strengthen their writing skills.

- Who is eligible for Kids Camp?
Students entering 1st through 12th grades as of Fall 2026.
- Are scholarships available?
As of April 2026, there are not any scholarships currently available.
- Can siblings be in the same camp session if they are different grades?
Yes, upon request siblings at different grade levels (within grades 1st–8th) can be in the same camp group! If you’d like siblings placed together, simply let the camp staff know and they’ll do their best to accommodate your request. However, 1st-8th graders cannot join 9th–12th graders camps.
- Will lunch or snacks be provided?
Lunch is not provided. If your child is attending both morning and afternoon sessions, they can bring lunch from home.
Snacks will be provided during scheduled breaks.
